Timing issue on 586

You got my attention. How do I learn more about this recall? I checked the S&W website and didn't see anything.

Research the factory modification and you will find that the problem was the ammunition being used and not the revolver.

Some soft primers in the day could "flow back" locking up the gun.
It's extremely rare but the factory will still do the hammer nose bushing replacement mod free, many were done but many were not,
I wouldn't send one of my non m mod no dash in unless they had another issue and needed a tune up in which case it makes sense.

That's what I'm thinking. I got my issue figured out so I'll pass on sending it back to S&W for now.
