To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

Don,
I've thought about you and your family often this week.
I've always liked your signature, it says a lot about you, and it's something I try and keep in mind.
I look forward to catching up after the holidays.
Take care my friend.

I haven't been to this site in a while so I decided to check in when I saw the terrible news about your son. Please accept my sympathy for your entire family, and God Bless your son and all who fought beside him.

I feel I know you, having read and responded to posts in various fora.

I cannot tell you how your loss hurts, but I cannot pretend it hurts anywhere near, even to a fraction, of the hurt you will feel and, no doubt, continute to feel.

I read this last night and didn't feel I could post anything. I am shedding tears as I write this. God's mercy on you all, on all of us.

Thank you for posting the picture. I can look in his eyes as I pray for all of you, all of them, all of us. It is we who suffer the greatest loss here.

Words fail me at a time such as this... Please accept our deepest sympathy at your loss and know you are all in our prayers.

We are all very proud of your son, and thankful for his service to our country.

Sincerely and respectfully

Chuck
