To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

Having had a friend over in the area. Our prayers are with your Family and all other Families who still have Sons, Daughters, Mothers, and Fathers still in harms way. Each person who has served our Country has my deepest RESPECT. Still we should have a moment to think about each and everyone who is away from us at this time and pray for a rapid end to the conflict. May God bless your Family and help ease the pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. And, may Elijah rest in ever lasting peace, he deserves nothing less. May God stand by you and give you the strength you need to get through this.

My son is in Afghanistan now and will be heading back to the states Dec 18, God willing. I worry every day that we'll get that call.

My deepest sympathies.

It's small consolation at a time like this, but you can be forever proud of your brave soldier, and I and the rest of us are deeply indebted.

I'm so sorry

My sincerest sympathy and prayers to you and the family your son left behind. May God give you strength. Thank you for the service your son gave to our country. He made the ultimate sacrifice.

This war has become personal for me this morning. Your family will be in our prayers this morning.

What can one say except that he knew his family loved him and he did his duty as he saw it. For that we thank him and for you and yours, you will be in our thoughts.

Sir,

I am speechless. My thoughts and prayers are with Elijah, your family, as well as all of our servicemen/women and families.

May the Lord bless you all.

After 25 1/2 years of duty, honor and country I sit here holding my 22 month old grandson wondering why me, with tears in my eyes and at a loss for words wondering why you Elijah.

Mr. and Mrs. Hart,

This hits home from several angles. I served in the Michigan Army National Guard with SFC (then spec.) Craig Cherry for whom Camp Cherry-Beasley, Afghanistan was named. He was killed by an IED in Afghanistan also.

On top of that my family buried my step-grandmother yesterday (please no comment about my situation in this thread, folks. I'm at peace, she was almost 89, had a wonderful full life, and this is about the Hart's and their loss).

I'm going to church now. I will have my entire congregation pray for your family. I pray that God gives you strength and rest in this troubling time. I also pray that a hedge of protection will be placed around Elijah's child for the rest of his life.

I was at a loss for words this morning when I first saw this post. I'm back from church now and I said a few prayers for everyone involved. I couldn't imagine what you're going through, just can't. God bless Elijah and your family and may you and your family find peace. Larry

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I pray for our men and women in uniform every day, but will say a special prayer for your family today.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Your son is the represents what is best in this nation. He was a Patriot, whom was Brave, and paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I never even met him, and he went to combat to protect my family too. I will pray for your family in this time.

Your loss can not be measured by any normal scale. Your son is one of the heroes that this country has sacrificed for others freedom and our safety. God Bless you and may he rest with his maker for eternity. Though you can never forget may a certain peace come upon you knowing that his passing was so others may live. Words seem so inadequacy at a time like this. I pray that you find a certain peace that so many others have found necessary to seek. God Bless you and God grant your son a place of honor in heaven...I'm so sorry!

My heart breaks for the unimaginable loss of another fine son and countryman. I will pray for him any your family for many days to come.
Hold on.
