I don't know where this quote comes from but it certainly holds true here....

"Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you....Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

Your son, and your family, have paid the ultimate price for the freedom of strangers, both foriegn and American. Again, I am sorry for your loss.
 
I know you can only hear Im sorry so many times, so thank you for raising a son that wanted to do what was right for his country and fellow americans. My prayers are with you and yours.

Dhart, I'm not good with words But I'm sorry for your loss. Hug that grandchild for us and Thank You for your sons service, I just wished it had come out different. God Bless all of you and you will be in our prayers. GOD BLESS
 
I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling now. Please accept my condolences and prayers for your son, your family and all of those who's lives he touched.

Whenever I hear something like this, I get choked up. You already know this, but your son was a hero. And you and your wife must be some real gems to have raised such a person.

Today Freedom lost a Brave Young Patriot.

I would like to express my condolences on your loss. I am sure that there is not a member of this Forum that does not feel diminished by this news.

I have the utmost respect for the Men and Women that put themselves in Harm's way so that not only can we continue to enjoy the Freedoms that this Country was founded on, but also so that Oppressive, Evil regimes can be removed from God's Green Earth. All of God's Children deserve to taste freedom and your Son helped bring that the the people of Afghanistan. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.
 
My sincere condolances and prayers to the family and friends of Elijah. May your faith give you strength, your memories comfort, and Gods love give you peace.

Will his wife and child be OK financially after this? Is there an address you would care to share with those of us who would like to send a small donation to them? I can't give much being disabled myself, but I would like to send a small token of my appreciation for Elijah's sacrifice.
