My wife & I have 5 kids. The youngest is 17, junior in high school, and still lives at home. The others are all grown up and taking the world by storm.
I have tried to get her interested in shooting, but she never wanted to go. Well, I guess her new boyfriend likes to hunt, and now she has an interest in learning to shoot. Yesterday I asked if she wanted to go shooting with me today, she surprised me with a yes. So I grabbed a few boxes of 22lr and my Ruger 10-22, and my 43C for her to practice with.
Loaded the 43C with snap caps and had our first lesson. Once she got good with safe gun handling and trigger pull, I loaded the gun for her. Here's her first target at 7 yards.
After burning thru her first box of 50, the 10-22 came out. She did okay, but thought the revolver was more fun & asked if she could just keep shooting it instead. I told her that was fine with me!
Today was a good day.
