It was the first match I've ever gone to. I had a BLAST!!! The 1911PD performed flawlessly. The lighter weight of the gun makes it VERY easy to handle for a 5'er.
Took my 1911PD to an IDPA Match.

I have the 4.25" PD. The first time I used it for an IDPA match...I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it/I did. The recoil was very manageable...especially for a lighter weight gun.
