Took my Model 19-5 to the range today. I have a new favorite handload.

The handload is made with AA #7 under a 158 grain powder coated semi wadcutter from Missouri Bullets. It is very accurate and clean. Highly recommended.

The revolver is one I bought new in 1981. Great purchase I think.

The target shows the first six I shot today.

My favorite 357 load uses AA-7 under 125 sjhp at about 100 fps less than full powered slow powder loads. And very accurate with less boom/flash.

Did you happen to get a velocity on it? Hodgdon shows 1,041 FPS with a LSWC and 9.1 grains. I imagine yours is right around that. Should be a nice load. Not too hot but hot enough to know you're shooting a moderate .357 load.

I don't own a chronograph so no. The data I use has it from 9.1 grains to 10.1 grains. I used 9.3 and was quite pleased with the results.
