Can someone suggest a good screwdriver or tool set for basic maintenance. I ordered a set from e-bay marked S&W but they are junk! I don't want to be a gunsmith but I do want to use the correct tools on my guns.

Any of the Brownells sets are great, or you can take a look at the Wheeler sets sold by Midway or your local dealer.

A set of Wheelers from Midway is what I use. They normally have decent pricing also.

Brownells also sells their Magna-Tips in sets for specific guns such as S&W revolvers so you don't have to buy a large set of bits and these are top of the line tools.

I bought a set of Grace screwdrivers many,many years ago and they have worked great. I did not see them in Brownells catalog lately, but there was a bigger set at Cabelas. The set I have are made especially for the S&W screw sizes. Try here: Welcome to GRACE USA

Here's the Wheeler 89 piece kit for $10 cheaper than the $20 off sale price at Midway.

I have read mixed reviews on the Wheeler kit, though.

I've used a couple of Chapman sets for for almost 40 years.
Midway has them on sale for $25.
