Absent Comrade
Planning a route through Flanders Belgium, we discovered this ceremony of gratitude to the sacrifice of WWI foreign soldiers lives, that's been carried out nightly, uninterrupted for 92 years.
The ceremony continued abroad while the city was occupied in WWII, and restarted while the city was still being liberated.
It's carried out at 8PM in a barrel vaulted memorial mausoleum built by the British as a portal into the city of Ypres Belgium.
This is a 360 degree video of the nightly remembrance. You can pan the view with your pointer.
