Has anyone had the factory do a action/trigger lob on their 1911,if so how did it turn out and is it worth the cash outlay?
Thanks

Before I send one out for a trigger job I play with adjusting the tension on the sear and disconnector spring fingers. A little bit less tension on each will reduce trigger pull a bit but it won't help creep at all.

I had the Performance Center work on my gun (1911PD Commander) after it had warranty (cosmetic) work done. I had them do the reliability package, polish & throat the barrel and adjust the trigger to 4-5 crisp lbs. It is a duty gun. The gun was reliable out of the box, but is even better now. I did have to send it back a second time when the plunger tube fell off, but it has been flawless since its return.

Do you have at least 400 rounds through the pistol? Most pistolsmiths want at least 400 rounds through a gun before the decision to do a trigger job is made.

I second Joni_Lynn's idea. You can always try one of these Cylinder & Slide Sear Spring that will reduce the trigger pull ~1 1/2#. Cheap fix for only $6.50. You might want to lightly stone [flat]the trigger bow and mating disconnector surface to remove high any spots.

If the main spring is replaced with a lighter one the trigger pull will be reduced some..Wouldn't go lighter than 17lbs for reliablty reasons..
