Trigger fix M&P 22?

The trigger pull on mine is pretty good. It's light and is pretty smooth though I've put about a thousand rounds through it now. I've only had problems with one type of ammo, Aguila. I tried to shoot one clip and they would not feed without jamming. The Aguila's had a 20 grain bullet that was very short and cone shaped. They are still sitting on a shelf down stairs. Other than that my M&P 22 has digested everything else without a hitch. No jams except those Aguila's.

Mines not that bad. Actually fairly good I thought compared with my other M&P's.

Not quite sure what you are speaking off on the horrible slack. I have the M & P 22 and 9c. This longer trigger pull is characteristic of this type of action. I have run about 2000 rounds of all varieties of 22 LR ammo through mine. It has a nice smooth action with a distinct spot right before it fires. If I am shooting for accuracy I will press the trigger until this spot is reached, pause re-check the sights the follow through with the trigger press.
Most all dao and striker fired automatics have a longer trigger pull similar to a double action on a revolver for safety purpose.
The M & P 22 makes for cheaper training for me rather than shooting the more expensive rounds for a lot of my ccw training.

I have no issues with the gun other than that amount of freeplay before you get to the point of the trigger putting resistance before firing. Even my 41 has a better trigger. I guess i will have to get used to this. Other than that, it runs all day on CCI ammo.

You say even your 41 has a better trigger, well I should hope so for a $1300 MSRP precision competition grade target 22. The M&P22 was created for the purpose of training on the M&P platform without going broke on ammo. The trigger does a decent job of replicating the CF M&P's trigger, but the gun was never meant to be a competition pistol.

Not trying to create an argument, but offering food for thought. What if you have a trigger job done on a CF M&P, then wouldn't you want to have the same trigger pull on your M&P 22?
I don't really consider a 9c a target pistol and more than I consider a M&P 22 a target pistol.
