I picked this up new at a gun show and the trigger is just too much for me. Any advice on a kit maybe to reduce the trigger pull? I like the gun and it seems accurate enough but that trigger! Thanks for any help!

Frankly, if you find the SD trigger that bad, suggest you trade up to an M&P and put the Apex kit in that for a major difference, instead of just somewhat of an improvement in the SD.
Being an old revolver shooter, I find the SD just fine for a service pistol, but I've had many students that were never happy with it, even with the kit.

I'm going along with the APEX kit. The buy was an impulse one as so many of my guns are. CZ's are my choice for SD, both 9MM and .45. I like the gun, I just need that trigger improved. We'll see.

Hopefully you got the trigger and springs. I went with the Apex trigger and M-CARBO spring kit. There are many YouTube videos to assist you in doing it. When I had mine apart I did a mirror finish polishing on all metal surfaces (you need to be very careful on some parts). It made a HUGE change for the better.

The trigger on the SDVE series pistol was a non-issue for me, but I grew up shooting revolvers. All mine are stock, 2-9's & 2-40's. They function 100% and shoot everything I run through them. I have all the M&P's and all the Shields and a few Rugers, in addition to all my revolvers. They all serve a purpose and I don't expect any of them to be anything but what they are.
I personally wouldn't spend the extra money to upgrade, but it's your choice, your pistol. :-)

I guess I got lucky. I was able to pull the trigger on a few different SD9VEs and picked the one I liked the best. My SD9VE pull is about equal to my Shield 9 2.0, just SLIGHTLY longer.

Try a SCCY CPX2, you think the trigger will never break. If you can get used to the trigger, they are an accurate pistol.

Remember folks, an SD9 is NOT an SW9. The trigger kits are sometimes advertised as compatible.

Who played with his SW9, it was VERY difficult to get the alignment right on the multi-purpose pin.
