Trigger springs

Hi Guy`s

Looking to buy a new 15-22 here in UK and heard about different colour springs in the trigger group area to get over some problems. Last I heard was the latest colour was BLUE is this correct. In case I got the area designation wrong its when you "break" the gun open and look down into the trigger area.

Blue is the current spring color. They have been the standard for the last three years.

Just an FYI -- the blue comes off pretty easy. My springs were blue - 1 dose of CLP took off the paint on all of my springs. Just a thought if the gun is new and for whatever reason it has been cleaned / lubed for storage. Cross check the serial number as well- just to make sure. There is a post on the forum that has a growing list.

Much worry about nothing ... The chances that the springs are not current are essentially zero, unless you bought the rifle used from someone who bought it three or four years ago.

The blue spring is the bolt recoil spring change that was part of the upgrade package done to cure the OOB issue in the first years production. Trigger springs are whatever you feel comfortable using. I currently use a Geissele Super 3-gun trigger with a set of JP low power (yellow) trigger and hammer springs. My trigger measures as low as 1.25# with this setup. I tried this setup about 18 months ago and it was reliable but went back to the factory S3G springs for safety till I felt I could shoot it well without any chance of an AD. Now I have been using the setup again for about 2 months and no light strikes or any other issues. So I plan on sticking with it thru this year's Ruger Rimfire World Championship.

"Yellow"is the colour that was stuck in my mind for some reason, now I remember why, thanks for clearing this up
