I want to lighten the trigger pull on my new SD9VE. Anyone have any suggestions? Have seen several on forum but indicate for SW9VE or SW40VE. When asked they are not sure if will work on newer SD9VE. They say will work if the pins on the sear housing are removable. Anyone have any suggestions or know for sure if the sear housing pins are remove able?

Sure the pin is removeable on the SD, but the sear block is completely different than Sigma sear block, nothing much to tweak or polish If you want to tweak the trigger go with the Apex kit for the SD. Search the forum or web for info.

You don't have to use the striker spring.

There's 2 other springs in the kit to play with.

That's right! For me I used all of the springs and did the polishing just like Scott pointed out in his video.

Went to the range this past Friday. 100 rounds with the kit no problems at all. Groupings where a lot better. The trigger pull is smooth and my trigger in my SD40VE is par to my Glock 23.

I had a problem with the origial kit from Apex with light strikes on hard primers. Contacted them and they replaced the striker spring, no problem since then.
 
Did APEX replace the striker spring with a factory spring or another one of their striker springs? Is it a heavier spring than what originally came with the APEX kit? Details, we need details man!! ;)
 
Another +1 for the Apex kit.

Installed it after the first to mags all other ammo has been fired with all 3 apex springs with nary a problem. So far I have gone through
Winchester white box
Privi Partizan
Remington golden saber
Hornady Critical duty
Winchester PDX
I also have 100 rounds of Tula I am gonna try but to be honest I don't want to shoot it with all this crazy stuff going on as I may not be able to replace it.

They replaced it with a new Apex spring which was heavier than the original Apex (~3.75#) but still lighter than the S&W factory striker spring.
 
My experience with the Apex spring kit might be a tad different (my perception) than what other people are having.

I purchased my new SD9 VE last weekend. I did not find the trigger pull objectionable; actually, it was a little better than I was expecting. According to my Lyman electronic trigger pull gauge, the average weight was approximately 9+ lbs. and long, but fairly smooth.

I placed an online order that same day for an Apex spring kit and it arrived very quickly. I replaced all three (3) springs following the Apex video and lubed per their instructions.

After completing this modification and firing ~100 rounds at the range, I remeasured the trigger pull with my gauge. The weight reduction was not as great as I expected... after several measurements, the pull ranged between the high 6 lbs. to low 7 lbs. with no change in trigger pull distance and/or trigger break point.

I had hoped for a solid low 6 lb. trigger weight.

I used the Galloway spring kit on my SD40VE which includes a lighter sear spring.
I did not use the striker spring.

While apart, I also polished the trigger bar and the contact face on the firing pin.

I'm very happy with the results. I can only compare to my M&P40...
both have very similar pull and weight.
 
The Apex kit is designed to not need to replace the sear spring.

and I have had no problem with light strikes. But, if I had, I would just put the original striker spring back.

A nice polish while it is apart plus the Apex springs did wonders for the performance.

Made a very good gun even better.

I also have the Apex spring kit in my SD9VE and brought the trigger pull down to about 6.5lbs.
To improve the pre- and after-travel I put the AET from Apex in and was lucky that I didn't need to trimm it to make it fit, it was a perfect drop in.
Pre-travel was reduced and after-travel was eliminated.
Some had to file off some material off the trigger to make it work and there are a post or two on here that shows how to do it.
 
It is funny how some have just dropped in.

Mine I had to file, and file, and file some more. I was actually getting worried.. I was way beyond taking off "thousandths".

Then I hit that sweet spot.

Trigger is a thing of beauty now. 5 pound, crisp, clean.

Aliengear Cloak Tuck 3, SD40VE , I could not be more pleased with this gun for my primary carry.

The price was just a super bonus.

I Have found that if you remove the Sear spring, as seen On You tube , for Sigma owners , works the same for SD9 owners , About a 1/2 lbs reduction in pull, and Yes there is a trick to putting in Back in ,
