I have a project Triple Lock with 5" barrel in 44 caliber that is missing the extractor rod, center pin, and under barrel locking bolt. Can the ejector rod from an early 1917 (2 piece) be modified to fit the TL? Can any of the 1917 parts, as listed above, be modified to fit. I have used some 1917 parts in the trigger/hammer lock work system. It works OK. Is there a machine shop that can fab the parts, I have a number of TLs that can submit parts for duplication. Has anyone on the forum done this? Appreciate any help or recommendations.

I think making these parts would be a daunting task. I've had mine apart to correct a spring problem within and found parts entirely different than other hand ejector models. I tried searching for a series of pics of Triple Lock extractor rod parts that has appeared in the section "Hand Ejector, 1896 to 1961" but could not find the thread. Maybe you can be more creative in a search than I was. I am not willing to disassemble my own Triple Lock to answer your question about if a machinist could make or modify pieces using 1917 parts. I am a retired machinist and would probably attempt such a thing on my own gun but not for someone else.

Have you tried Jack First? I myself have never used this parts company but many here on this forum have told of finding many obscure parts there.

Triple Lock Parts

I have several triple locks in shooter grade and have disassembled a couple of them in the past. That is my reasoning for considering the machining of like parts. I do think the ejector rod on an early (2 piece) 1917 rod may be modified with the help of TIG welding and machining could be made to fit. The U shaped locking bolt will be the difficult challenge. I have tried all of the major parts folks with no success. Thanks for your response. I need all the help I can muster.
