I picked this up a few months ago a TL .455 it’s been butchered some what, all thought it’s still a very good shooter.
The barrel has been cut to 4” and it’s been reblued.
The caliber has not been changed which is a very good plus as I have lots of .455 cases.
Ser # 4239 and it’s has all the proof marks I would expect to see here in Canada
It came with rubber but they also set the original grips.
The front sight is not what I would have liked but it’s not bad and it works. To bad some one had done this but it’s still a Triple Lock and the action is as smooth as glass.

That's not a bad gun. If only the front sight base wasn't so long!

That's a 2nd variation .455 BSR

2. “.455 Mark II HE - 1st Model” TL in the new .455 British serial # range 1 to over 5802* shipped 1914-15. Thus creating 67 duplicate serial #s with the 666 1st variation in the “.44 HE 1st Model TL” serial number range (.455 factory converted).

*“The serial numbers in the .455 Hand Ejector series 5721 - 5802 are all .455 second series triple locks and were all shipped commercial generally to Canada dealers. Hope that this helps.” Roy

After this shipment there were some of this model sold commercially all in the 5502 - 5857 range, but including a few military issues in that range as well.
