Trouble with S/B primers

A few years ago, my local(ish) Cabela's had them on sale for 17.50 per thousand. I bought like 7000 or something (bad memory). Out of them I had not one single failure loading for 9mm, 40S&W, 45acp, and 357 magnum. I would happily buy them again if they were available.

Same here, they were the deal of the century.

I've fired at 10,000 of these with no issues. However, I prime with a RCBS bench mounted tool. We all long for the days of primers as cheap as these were.

I've never used the primers, per se. I had failures with their loaded ammo (.38 Spl and .357 ) about 10 years ago. Some went off on the second or third try. Others were tried in multiple revolvers until the cups were worn through. 1 - 4 failures in each of 3 boxes. Never bought another of their products.

My memory ain't what it used to be. My loading "book" has comments that I wrote many years ago, and I don't necessarily remember the specific.

Anywhoot, my printed manual says Don't Buy Remington or S&B anything.
