I have a TRR8 and I shoot it a lot with a cheap Bushnell RDS. I ditched the factory rail in favor of the Allchin mount.

I don't like the looks of the Hogue rubber grips on it but I can't argue with the gun's performance--it flat out shoots.

While I like wood grips in general, for shooting I prefer Pachmayr grippers or compac (?) pros, those fit my hand best.

Since you asked--to my eye those classic looking wood target stocks don't
really match well with the overall "tacticool" look of the TRR8--sort of like having spoke wheels and whitewalls on a muscle car (take your choice, lol).
But, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

I think it looks awesome. I ordered wood grips for my S&W 66. I'd love to find a TRR8 but I've spent my money on a Kimber Ultra. Maybe next year. Congrats on the new grips.

I wondered if I might feel that way myself, but after putting them on I really like the look. Thanks for your honest opinion however.

Absolutely love 'em! Years ago, when revolvers were standard equipment, those grips screamed "Magnum!" to the mutts on the street. IMO, that style grip gave the 4" Model 19 its charm.

Grips are a very personal choice and only you can judge what is good for you. Myself I think no matter the "style" of the revolver wood grips will never be a wrong choice, and if they fit your hand well then theyre right.

Ebay?? Thailand? If so Ill admit that whoever it is they can do some decent work. Ive seen many sets on their listings that I really liked. I just wish they would offer grios that more closely resembled the original grips.

I kind of like those grips on there! Reminds me of a 27-10 PC I foolishly didn't hang onto. It's great how a set of grips can totally change a revolvers use-case look/feel. Much more versatile than other pistols.

I`m waiting for my TRR8 anxiously: what kind of grip does it have? Round or Square?

The gun is already ugly and now it looks like it's wearing its grandfather's shoes. LOL.

I like 'em. But given the general Darth Vader look of the gun, I'd assume they are Arcturian Gnortxwood. The figured kind, which is radioactive.

I like 'em. In fact, I have shot a 327 R8 with those stocks on it.
