Trying a new watch

I've worn Seiko for a long time, two years ago this month I bought a Seiko5 automatic...first mechanical watch I've ever owned, and its been great...hacks, day/date ect....cheap watch $200...no diving for me, just EDW..scratches rather easy, but at that price point

I have a few dozen watches, all mechanical or automatic with the exception of the quartz watch the county gave me for 25 years of service. My everyday watch is a 1960's Benrus automatic that I got for $5 at an auction. I have more impressive watches, but I really like that incredibly reliable old Benrus.

Since I retired in 2006 I haven't worn a watch much. But I do love them. Last year I picked up a Citizen Eco-drive. Doing my part to save the climate. Really like it. Should never have to change the battery.

When my dear wife passed away (Feb 11, 2020) she left a white gold
with diamonds watch. I took it to a jeweler and had it tuned up and
polished. Then I gave it to my great-granddaughter. I'm pretty sure
it's what my wife would have wanted.

I had an eco drive. Didn't wear it every day. Battery failed from lack of use apparently.
Did you try putting it back into the sunlight for a while? (Actually, any light source should work.) I've had them stop when not exposed to light for a long time, like when I've moved or left them in a drawer.

I have three, with the oldest being 15 years or so.
