TSA pre check is very nice to expedite getting to the gate for your flight, at least it has been for me and my wife. Neither of us have applied for pre check but get it often.

My question is have any of you applied for and received Global Entry? Is it worth the steps and documentation that must be provided to obtain Global Entry. It is my understanding that Global Entry also gives you TSA pre check for domestic flights.

We are going to be doing some international flights and would like feed back from someone who has actually has received it.

Thanks in advance.

Both my wife and I use it extensively.

If you tend to go through customs often, Global Entry is worth it.
Global entry COMBINES TSA Pre check and an easy pass through Customs.

TSA Pre check does you no good through Customs. The biggest problem is that all airlines are not certified for Pre Check.. Do a seach and find out if your frequently used airline is a participant in the program. If they are and your travel outside the U.S. then Global entry is the way to go.

After you get your number, sign on to your airline and make it part of your profile, then each time you fly it will show on your ticket.

The TSa pre-check is one of the best things they have managed to come up with, I just sale through the short line, and all of the TSA agents have been great so far.
You can fill out the paper work on line then make an apt. to have your prints taken. If you fly more than once a year it's the best deal around.

Sorry I misunderstood the question. I don't know anything about the Global Entry program. Unlike our highly paid Mods, wink-wink, I generally can't afford to leave town much less the country.
