Tulammo Shortage?

I've been looking for .223 Tulammo locally for over a month now and I cannot find anything. I swear before all the action with Crimea and Russia that ammo was plentiful (relatively speaking).

I could walk into either Walmart within 30 miles and they had boxes of it stacked in the cage.

Is it possible that the recent tensions between Russia and the U.S. and her allies could affect if not already the export of the ammunition?

Due to the Ukraine mess the US and it's Allies have imposed economic sanctions on Russia. In response Russia has ceased shipments of Gas, Oil, and other consumables to the US and it's Allies. Now, I don't know if the cessation of ammo shipments was imposed by the US and it's Allies or by Russia but you can be darned sure that there won't be any Tulammo coming across the pond until the Ukraine situation is sorted out.

I picked up 1500 rounds (3 spam cans) this morning. We get it weekly here in central MS.

It doesn't bother me since I made a conscious decision not of fund other folk's plans for a new "vacation home".

I was thinking after reading that Russia was going to implement its own sanctions that surplus or new ammo could possibly be on Russia's sanction list.
