I'm seeing both the Tulammo small rifle and 223 primers from a number of sources for significantly less cost than the "name brands" like CCI.

I am just starting out on 223 reloading and was going to get some of these 223 primers but the sources are online and I'd be buying "a bunch" to offset Hazmat and shipping. Hate buying quantity without knowing I won't be sorry :)

Thanks in advance for your comments!

Tula are not Wolf and Wolf are not Tula, that said I have been using Wolf primer for handguns and rifles and find they all go bang,
From what I have read Tula are are just fine. Of course you will also read they are not and Midway sells them;)

I use regular Wolf SR primers (they may be a bit harder than say Winchester)in my 223 and do not buy official 223 primers or CCI 41's so what do I know.

What did people do before these were marketed? I do not shoot full auto so maybe there is a chance of slam fires.

I have just started using some Tula SR Primers

wondered about em myself

They seem pretty good... seem to seat a bit Tighter/Harder than CCI which I think is a good thing

So far so Good

I stick with the big name reputable brands and have never been disappointed. You get what you pay for. Look at the DIFFERENCE in prices. That's what you decision should be based on. How much more does it cost to get the better product. :)

Just because something costs more does not make it better?? I prefer the lower price when buying thosands. If they didn't work then that's a different story

Winchester 231 powder costs more than HP38. They are the same powders . Is Winchester better because you pay for the name?

I have used thousands of Wolf, SP. LP, SR and they all work and go bang. Yes, Winchester and CCI work as well but for range blasting who cares?

Well the "name brands" were about 30% more so I thought I'd try the Tulammo. I got the "standard" small rifle, not the 223 based on the info I was able to find here and on other forums. Still interested in feedback!

With free shipping and hazmat, it was about 2.6 cents per round!

NOW to find powder! I remember this hunt and peck from a year ago for reloading pistol rounds :)

Where did you find free shipping and Hazmat!!!:D???

Good deal! No shipping, less than Widners Wolf primers.

But wait it's Midway, can't get anything good there!:D;)
All those Midway bashing threads.

Well I just got my primers and learned something! I ordered product via Missouri that is distributed just down the road!!!!

Anyone in the Austin area know if they have a walk up???

I've also loaded many thousands of Tula and Wolf primers and never experienced any problems that weren't of my own creation. They are a bit tight and if you're reloading military brass be sure you swage the primer pocket. BTW Widener's today (1/23) has Wolf small pistol primers for $23.40 per K.
