Hi guys. I am new to pistols and reloading for them. I was thinking about getting some TVB's and was looking for some feedback on them, you know the good, the bad & the ugly. I will be shooting them out of an S&W 686 with a 6" barrel, in 357 cal. would also like some insight on what size and weight and style bullet to use for targets.

Jessie Clark, the owner of Tennessee Valley Bullets, is a member here. Goes by the name of NKJNut. He makes great bullets that are very reasonably priced. The great thing about his bullets is that they are not too hard, a common problem with hardcast bullets. They can be pushed to pretty high velocities before you start to worry about any real leading problem.

His website is Here: http://tennesseevalleybullets.com/. It is pretty basic but all the info is there. If you just pick up the phone and give him a call you will not be disappointed. He will answer any questions you have. I highly recommend their bullets. I have no interest in TVB other than a satisfied customer and I like to see friends succeed. Good luck.

The ugly: Some of our customers are having to wait longer than I would like. We are doing our best to get orders filled as quick as possible

I have excellent luck with both the 148 gr. DEWCBB and the 158 Gr. SWCBB from Tennessee Valley Bullets in my M19 with 6" barrel. I order them at .358 diameter and load them at low to moderate velocity for target/backyard plinking. They are a very consistent product and an exceptional value.

My preference, hands down. Jessie's "magic" lube and precise hardness give me better velocities with his bullets when compared to any others I've tried.

I ordered a "substantial quantity" of .356" 95gr LRN bullets from Jessie last year to feed my ravenous .380 Autos. The bullets are physically and cosmetically perfect, and shoot better than any lead bullet I've ever put through my guns.

Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper. And a devoted customer.

They are second only to one, in my book!

Hi guys. Thanks again for your words of wisdom. I will have to put in an order. I am 50 years old and don't think I have fired 500 rounds in a pistol in my life. I think I will order the 158SWCBB, 500 and try them. By the end of them I should know how to shoot that pistol.Thank's again.

You might want to order more than 500 because one you start shooting you are not going to want to stop. If you order more now you will save the wait time when you get the shooting bug! LOL You will be surprised how fast you go through only 500 bullets. After all, that will make only 10 boxes of ammo...

BUY 'EM!
(By the 5,000's) You never know when someone from Science In The Public Interest is going to say they're bad for you, and you shouldn't have them anymore?

You can get 2K of most bullet sizes in a USPS flat rate box. To cut shipping costs it's best to order in multiples of that.
