As with any of the old fixed sight revolvers, the shooter had to learn to compensate for the point of impact. I'm an old fart and after 55 yrs. of putting my sights on the target I'm too old to trust that I'd remember to compensate for that if I had to deploy the pistol in a critical defense situation. To clarify, I'm in Canada and the only pistol I can legally carry in the bush with me must be antique status and openly carried. I decided to fabricate a new foresight since the pistol was putting all of my loads high and left. In the pic is the almost finished product since I'll have to get it to the range, set up a stable rest, shoot a round, file the sight, and repeat until it's on target for my eye. I'll blue the sight when its on target and put a dab of blaze orange on the bead. BTW, I still have the original foresight blade and pin so I could put this back to factory condition if I ever had to. For now, here's what I've accomplished thus far. Comments, critiques, or observations are most welcome.
