Twizzlers

Red Vines are a lot better than Twizzlers. Have to stop a Costco for a barrel of 'em soon. Haven't seen Red Rope in years. A little off topic, but I read somewhere that they still may make Chunky. Anybody see any out there?

Yes, they still make Chunky. We sell them where I work. Good seller, but it's hard to find at most grocery stores. You might try Cracker Barrel . They have lots of "older" candies.

Amazon has them in boxes of 48 . . .

By the way, you do not want to Google Chunky. I just did, and most of the links that come up are for chunky porn (whatever that may be). Changing the search term to chunky candy bar was a little better, but still returned a bunch of porn.

Nibs used to be excellent black licorice! I don't know if they still make it or if it's changed. I tried Panda but I didn't care for it. Darrell Lea Australian black licorice is might tasty. I also like Good N Plenty.
Anybody besides me remember the jingle?

Sambuca! licorice you can drink!

That reminded me of drinking Pernod at a girlfriends place with her Mom and sister. Mom drank it with ice water and I was sipping it straight. Back when the young lady's father was still around he would keep a 12 pack of room temperature Texas Pride next to his chair. When you came to see his daughters it was not "Would you like a beer?". It was "Here, have a beer.", and you did not turn down Herr Clark when he offered. Once you get used to drinking Texas Pride at room temp, you can drink pretty much any beer at any temperature. It was almost what you would call a rite of passage.

Twizzlers are my go to snack while on a long car ride.
They don't make any mess while eating them and are easy to grab while driving.

I do eat a handful at once which is about five or ten of them. Drives my girlfriend crazy when I do that. Every bite is through all of them.:D

So does Velveeta, but that's a secret vice for some people, too.

We fish on a stocked lake for trout. This velveeta cheese out fished every bait. But be quick to set the hook.

I buy red twizzlers by the case for the misses.

Cracker Barrel sells large Chunky bars. CVS drug stores sell the small Chunky bars.

I like black licorice and I keep some around the house, but most of it goes out the back door. It seems my mule and my donkey both LOOOVE the stuff.
