Thee mood struck me today to maybe try my hand at another post, maybe the acquisition of transitional 357 is causing my head to swell a little
and suddenly I felt inspired to share a few of our guns. There are so many great guns shared on this forum, it makes for some very tuff and intimidating competition, in any case thanks to Lee and the gang for providing a platform for us to share and learn from others.
These are two of our long tube 357s, one older and one newer. The pinto shipped July of 1954 and is by far and away one of my favorites in our collection. It is wearing a set of factory smooth Rosewood targets (non relieved) which letter to the gun. The 27-2 is wearing a set of KB Ropers, that are made from Purple Heart Wood, and have medallions inserted to add some uniqueness.
The ammunition in both boxes is period correct to the guns (or at least very close) as well as the SATs which were shipped with the guns. The 27-2 has its original wood pres box and shipping carton as well but it was to hard to configure it into the shot. I am no photographer so please go easy. I hope everyone enjoys them.
