Tyler grips adapter.

While there are other options none of them make Bronze. Also they don’t have the same allure as Tyler. As an example, there are other cheaper revolvers available but we wait for the right S&W to come along.

Like many others here, I have given up on Tyler.

Write a check and mail it in? Its not 1985.

Cash my check but don’t send the product for six months to a year? Not having it.

If I order something it is because I need it now, not whenever they feel like making it.

I have never owned a Randall knife, but I understand the wait times for an heirloom quality product. But a piece of cast aluminum?

BK’s are all I want or need. I’ll paint them if I want something other than black.

The only upside to the current state of Tyler’s is when I find one already on a used gun. I can tell myself “well the price isn’t bad when you deduct the value of the T-Grip”.

I’ve also heard quality has really fallen off with the current crop.

Whoa whoa whoa. Tyler website clearly states “Heirloom Quality Manganese Bronze”. So there’s that lol

Allure??? Seriously? There was no allure when they were easy to get, and we found them in the box of used grips in the LGS for $5. Like my previous post, hard to get em now everyone wants em, and it seems cost is not an issue. Robertson or BK are not “cheap copies”. If I saw a Tyler and a BK both available for the same price, I would take the BK. Two clips no wiggle ;)

I would take the Tyler. Is it better ? I don’t know. But it’s worth more. That’s where the allure or cachet come in.

Does a Tyler T really increase the value of old S&W??

First off I don't want to hijack the OP's post whereby he's complaining about no response and lack of product from the company. I think the OP is right on the money and honestly should get some response from someone who takes your money and just dumps you for months.

I've personally never taken a fancy to Tyler T grip adapters (or any other brands) and I'm also from that old school where one could see a bunch of them mixed in with leather holsters, speed loaders and left over police gear in LGS "el-cheapo" table/bins.

Anyway, sigp22.45 posted above that they have value if attached to a used gun. I had to think twice...didn't I used to have a K22 Masterpiece that came to me with some sort of grip adapter?

So.........rooted around a bit in the back corners of storage and lo and behold" a K22 Masterpiece, 6", Blue (what's left) with a black plastic (or bakelite, or ???) material grip adapter. The K22 shipped in November 1948 according to Roy and I never valued it as much more than about $400. Shoots great, nice gun but sits in safe neglected.

What can you guys tell me about the grip adapter? It is a genuine Tyler T from Oklahoma City, from the pics but I enhanced one and still cannot make out the number.

A couple years ago I karma'd an aluminum Tyler T #3 grip adapter here on the forum and I may put this one up for Karma, unless you guys tell me it should stay with the gun (for $750) and its' non-diamond stocks?

Sorry for the hi-jack detour, but maybe I'll just ship this one off to the OP if it would fit.

It seems most have a Tyler's horror story. I remember the last one I ordered took so long to get back that I had literally forgotten I had ordered it. I couldn't figure out where that thing came from when it did show up. IIRC, it was like six or eight months.

BK's on the other hand, I have ordered late on a Sunday and they were in my mail box on Wednesday.
