I ordered a grip adapter and trigger shoe for a model 36 from Tyler of Oklahoma City on February 19, 2024. I have not received them and can't get any response from them either email or snail mail. They cashed my check right away. I sent them a copy of my cancelled check and still no reply. Are they still in business?? I am only out a little over $100, but I would like to have the product. Also, any one else who is thinking about Tyler's, you might want to check around. Has anyone got any suggestions???

They're known for getting backed up and being uncommunicative lol
I just received a watch I ordered 10 weeks ago expecting to have it much sooner from earlier purchases. It's exasperating, but it happens. You'll get it eventually…It's a one man shop

We get this question a lot here unfortunately. The standard answer is "patience is a virtue". We've found if you wait, and it may be quite a long time, it will eventually show up. I don't know that I have ever heard of someone actually loosing their money.

The last one I bought from Tyler took six months to deliver. They ignored all attempts at contact. Strangely I got the goods shortly after I sent a formal written complaint of mail fraud to the postal inspectors office. I mailed Tyler a copy of my complaint. I am sure the delivery date shortly after was merely a coincidence.

I have not ordered in like 5 years. At the time I believe I ordered 3 adapters. It took around 8 months for them to come. Based on posts here I was patient.
Edit to add: I was very disappointed when they finally arrived. The black ones were like a baked on powder coat and there were no Tyler markings at all on them.
Agree with others on BK. They are just fine.

Call your local Postal Inspector - I assume check went by US Mail.

You'll hear back REAL quick.

I still can't rationalize how someone can actually run a business like Tyler does and still survive. I suppose it's because they basically they have no competition except for BK grips. While BK is a much better run company it is my opinion that Tyler has the better product.

I always suggest buying a used one or several at LGS's or on eBay. At least you will get your order in less than a week.

I believe its the son that's running the company, running be a loose word. Slow is the norm. Even when dad ran it, service could be spotty. I think it's basically a one man show.

The guy is a marketing mastermind and may not know it. He makes and sells a product with great cosmetic value and some practical worth. He works his own schedule and is not burdened with suspense dates or other trivial aspects most modern-day businesses have to deal with. Most importantly, despite all shortcomings, especially complaints, his products are always in demand.

He's to be congratulated. Very few business owners have such an enviable setup.

Ordered one in July of 2018 and it never came. Called numerous times and the only time I got someone they said it "had shipped." That was 6 months after I ordered it.

Enough second hand T grips out there (and BK's fine adapter) that is never give Tyler my business again.

So the son has taken over the business but it's a part time side business for him. If you want Tyler grip adapters you send in a check, it's cashed and then you wait. One day long after you have forgotten about your order there they are in your mailbox.

They cashed my check 2/28/24. I'm still waiting. It'll be 5 months next week. The last one I ordered about 3 yrs ago was 4 months. I knew this going in. But you want what you want and I wanted a bronze N frame T grip. I'm not concerned about being ripped off. It'll show up sooner or later.

I have stated this before, but when you order from Tyler these are the general rules:
Send check
Check will be cashed
They will answer no phone calls, no emails, no "snail mail"
Now sit and wait anywhere from 5 months to 2 years (yes, I had one delivered just over 2 years after it was ordered), but most likely, it will be a year give or take a month or two
It has been this way for several years now
On the bright side, as others have said, order from BK. IMO, they fit better than Tyler, cheaper, you get them in a week or so, they will communicate with you, and for me, since they are plastic they have less chance of hurting the finish on a gun.

A part time business. Casting aluminum is not easy. I believe he waits until he has sufficient orders to make a POR and does them all at once.

Patience works wonders.

Me, I buy on the secondary market or from BK (a member of this forum).

I am surprised that no one has tried to "print" one with the printer machine that makes objects.

Their non-existant customer service and extremely long and unpredictable delivery times are great for those of us who have Tyler-Ts we no longer need or want...

They sell quickly for high prices on the used market.
