tyler t grip inserts

Just got off the phone with Anna. She informed me that Brian had a heart attack a week and a half ago. He's still hospitalized.

Brian's son, Mark, along with four other sons are taking over the operation to try to complete the old orders on file. I informed her that if I didn't receive the t-grip in 10 days, I would be calling back to request a full refund.

I felt bad for Anna. She sound very exhausted, depressed, even medicated during our conversation.

Not bad enough to not give her a ten day time restraint while her husband is in the hospital....the compasion here is underwhelming......:(

Instead of trying to donate money to a family in need that has contributed to our hobby...because that's all it is, a HOBBY...we have people here sqauwking over a $30 part. So much for that warm fuzzy sense of community. Unbelievable....

This is business. Not personal.

Many empty promises were given in the last 122 days. You have to draw a line sooner or later.

My point exactly, it's NOT personal. You are not thinking about the family or the person going through a crisis, you are thinking about yourself and a insignificant part for your revolver...really??

I just visited the Tyler website. There's a statement posted regarding the owner's medical condition and the son taking over. I hope all goes well for them and they're able to continue making, and delivering a good product in a timely manner.

Your Dr. Phil analogy and insipid remarks are quite useless and really don't do anything to address the real issue at hand.

With that said, you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that.

Once again, this is a business matter, not a personal one.

I agree with you LOS. I ordered my Tyler grip adaptor back in April and received it in July only after a lengthy conversation with Brian in which he explained his difficulty keeping up with orders. While Brian impressed me as a very nice person with a willingness to provide a quality product his business sense seemed a bit short of the mark. I explained to him then that the proper thing to do is to NOT accept anymore orders before consentrating on catching up and filling existing orders. Apparently he decided not to take my advise. While I wish him well and a speedy, full recovery I would not place another order with the company.

krehmkej has it right, might as well write my $84 off as a loss as it seems their business model wouldn't include the foresight to have medical insurance. So, if there were any of those funds left when he had his "medical condition" they're now going to pay for his hospital stay.

If he truly had a heart attack then I pray for his full and speedy recovery. I'm not inclined, however, based on their previous lack of truthfulness, to jump whole-heartedly into overwhelming compassion mode.

Also, whoever said it's only a $30 part isn't getting the point. Multiply $30 x "thousands of orders" and you're sitting on some nice change while those who placed the orders get to subsidize your lifestyle. That's just s#!++y business.

I hate to hear this about T Grips. It used to be you could call Melvin and he would ship your grip on your word and you just dropped a check in the mail. The last time I ordered one I thought they were very over priced since they used to be $7 but I wanted one. I talked to the young lady and I got my T Grip in a few weeks. It was not the quality of the old ones though.

Hopefully once Brian is out of the hospital things will get back to normal but this may be it for T Grips. It is sad to hear the ruthless comments of some regarding their monetary loss. It sucks for sure but if the shoe were on the other foot I am sure they would be focusing on their loved one in a life threatening situation over anything else.

The new operators may be poor business people but they will likely straighten things out on the back end.

You hit the nail on the head Sir, they are poor business people, and poor business people will not make it in this new age of dog eat dog society. If you send in hard earned money for a product, you should get it in a timely matter, if not you suffer the consequences.

I just visited their site. I hope that Bryan is ok and makes a full and speedy recovery. However, business is business. They should be contacting everyone that has placed an order to ask if they would like to wait on the order longer or be issued a refund. This would be the professional thing to do. I hope that what was posted earlier about 3000+ orders sitting on a desk is exaggerated. If not I doubt anyone, including myself will be receiving a finished product or refund.

Thank you all for the information. I will not be placing an order. The ones I have should last.

I have 85 wrapped up in this, but as has been said many times the dollar amount is not the point. I hope the family gets through this tough time. the problem precedes family circumstances. something has been wrong for a long time. when I realized they were cashing checks and depositing funds even before starting work I started getting concerned. what these guys have been doing is just plain wrong. I think my patience will hold out maybe another month then I will be contacting the attorney general. the last thing anyone needs in this economy is this sort of nonsense. it may help if those who have been taken sign some sort of appeal, petition or whatever and send it in together. just my thoughts. and before anyone comments that I am cold-hearted let me first say I feel for the family and understand. but this has nothing to do with the complaints posted on here. if i were the one taking in these funds, delivering nothing in return, my guess is you guys couldn't care less about my failing health. we wish bryan a speedy recovery and are praying for him but we want the family to make this thing right. it's clear they do not have the capacity to deliver on a promise when they accepted funds so they need to follow through on refunds asap.

Wow! Had no idea that they were in so much trouble out there in Okl. I hope that he gets better and they right the ship. I mailed a check Sept. 1st...cashed check hit my bank Sept. 17th. I want the t-grip more than I want a refund at a latter date.

Earlier poster says dude has a heart attack on or about the 8th yet someone is still cashing checks...
