tyler t grip inserts

I'm glad to see that Brian made the very conscious decision to make things right by everyone . . . but to also bust it hard to catch up. Looks like he's an upright kind of guy. HOWEVER . . .

IF he'll start investing in his company's future by getting AHEAD on his inventory. and stop living off the money of people who pre-pay, he'll see his little operation get a LOT more fun . . . and he can spend his time making grips rather than having to talk on the phone half the day to p___ off customers who have prepaid.

The key, like in all businesses, is to have enough inventory on hand to ship immediately if one wants less headaches and more profit in the long term.

amen to that!! i'm kicking myself in the butt for not ordering more size 1's. somebody tell him to start making them, ANY COLOR, and he will do well. if I could find another for a j-frame i'd take it in pink even.

Back when they still accepted credit cards I would place an order and it would only take 3 days to get the adapters.

maybe things are getting better. i sent a check october 22nd and received my grip november 4th!

They're catching up..

My #1 ordered on 8/1 arrived today.
Fit and finish are perfect.
Fit my M60 better after I did a bit of fitting on the somewhat "proud" stocks:

I scored a size 4 bronze at the houston gun show yesterday. even though i don't have the 28-2 that I intend to use it for I couldn't afford to pass up the find. info was exchanged and I was told they have more, only the 4 is all they had at the show. I'm hopeful I can obtain at least 2 size 1's before xmas break.

Grips arrived today, but..

Ordered a #1 the first week of Sept. After reading here that Tyler was catching up, based on others receiving theirs placed both before and after mine, I had hoped to see it soon. It didn't show last week, so I decided to call them. For two weeks, all I ever got was their automated answering machine ("sorry we can't take your call... busy... call back later...").
Today, I called and got "the number you have reached has been disconnected". Checked the website, and I had the right number, so even though the website was updated this month, I figured something had really gone wrong with the company, and I gave up any hope of seeing mine, as I had no other way of contacting them.
Then, I got home and what do you know, but it arrived in the mail today. Fit was good and seemed to be OK.
So it does seem they have cleared up their backlog, at least from my standpoint. Not sure what is going on with the phones, however, so the question is, will they be in business next week?

yeah i really need to get two more size 1's. it's gonna get old switching between 3 j frames. poor things gonna feel like a working lady if I don't get her some relief and soon. so now they can't pay their phone bills? I really can't tie up 70 dollars this time of year.

I was considering placing a t-grip order. Does anyone have a recent status on the company?

FWIW

I ordered three T-grips 6 months ago...8 Oct 2010. My check cleared about a week later.

I'm still waiting.

Phone calls go unanswered.

good grief it's getting worse! you would think with the economy they might have an incentive to pick it up just a little. not with these guys.

This is too bad. I'm sure they're doing the best they can and I feel bad about the health issues of the owner.

I could use a couple more myself but I refuse to pay the ebay prices.

If they are that far behind they should stop taking orders--sounds like with them not answering the phone they may have in effect done that. But they should also state on the website that they are not taking orders. Last time I saw it there was nothing to that effect.

The T-Grip came out some time ago. The patent has surely run out. I wonder how much it would cost to make a mold?

Tyler Mfg. Stole my money.

Like others here, I sent Tyler Mfg. a $68.75 check on Oct. 7, 2010. It cleared my bank on Oct. 12, 2010. After that, I heard nothing from Tyler's.

I started calling their 800 number in January to no avail. Despite the drivel they posted on their website, no one ever ansewered the phone.

I sent a certified letter to them on Feb 5, 2011 that was signed fo on Feb 8 by someone who just scribbled their name illegibly. In my letter I enquirer politely about my order and enclosed a copy of my cancelled check.

Still no response.

So I can only conclude that they are most happy to cash peoples checks and NEVER INTEND TO DELIVER THEIR PRODUCT.

No communication from them in any way! And now the phone is disconnected. They could have taken a moment to reply to my enquiry, I supplied my name, address, phone and email, but they chose not to.

They are thieves. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. A sad end to a company that once had a fine reputation.

After reading this lengthy thread I must agree with most of what has been said: This outfit is quick to take your money and slow to deliver. I have also talked to the very nice lady several times and found her to be helpful and polite. Nonetheless, the product is very slow to arrive and at least one of my orders was screwed up with months to get it corrected.

A few years ago someone on this site bought a ton of T-Grips and resold them here. That seemed to make sense, as the manufacturer can't seem to get it together. Personally, I've found it quicker to buy T-Grips on eBay, where they seem to get about the same price without all the hassle.

BBB. as a last resort it has worked for some on this thread, including myself. pretty much 7 days delivery after you file. you can do it online. had I not taken that much regretted step I am sure I'd still be waiting.

They have stoped answering to the BBB. What to me is really suprising is that at least two family members work as fulltime LEOs. You would think that they would not want to screw their day job.

I am on my 3rd month and still waiting. I guess as long as fools like us keep sending them the money not knowing wether we will ever see our orders or not, deserve to get stiffed.

I placed an order in early December after reading on their web site that they were caught up and working to make shipments. Apparently it was just BS. The best case is they just don't run a business very well or the worst case is they are committing fraud.
