Tyler T grips - Here we go again!

although sending my money to a po box doesn't seem legit but maybe he just doesn't want peep showing up at the new location and it's in his garage or sumthin?? I always try to look at the positive side of things till sum1 burns me then they look down the side of my 357

At this point I prefer the BK grip adapters more. They have the copper tab molded into the body so it is going to be pretty hard to break unless I shear it off. They are better for sanding down to fit on a gun and get a precise fit. And the best part is when I order one, I actually get it.

Absolutely. Because, as we all know, no legitimate business makes you pay first.

When I order my S&W letters, Mr. Jinks just sends me the letter along with an invoice, and I then mail him a check.

Midway and Graf and Sons always send me my reloading stuff, and then after it gets here and I verify the order is correct, I cut them a check.

I've never had to pay in advance for anything.

:p
Sure, next time you get ready to get a new truck, why don't you go ahead and prepay for it, then let Ford or Chevrolet build it.

Anyone that follows custom knifemakers knows all about the Alan Blade/Steve Corkum fiascoes. Lots of people won't prepay for custom knives anymore.

Not saying you don't pay before someone ships an item, I'm saying you don't pay then have someone do the work.

Next time you need some work done on the house, why don't you pay the contractor up front.

Or since you brought up reloading supplies, do you pay up front, then Lee makes the dies, sends them to Midway who then ships to you?

What he said...:)

I am waiting to hear from all those who blasted Tyler for cashing their checks and not sending the grips. Hopefully they will announce when they do receive the grips. I wonder if he will start with the oldest back-order first?

Well if I ever get the T-Grip I ordered back in the middle of April I'll be sure to post a message. But I wrote off the money a couple of months ago.

There are 80,144 members of this forum.

Their web site says they shipped 1000 grips on July 27 and people would begin receiving them by August 4.

No one here has stated that they received one.

It's all vapor ware.

I would check Glocktalk. Maybe they are shipping auto adapters first, then revolvers.

:) I am glad to see this company under new ownership. I will say that those that paid the high prices for these grips in the past few months might have some regrets. If it looks like the new owner is on the up and up I will be ordering some more Tyler grips. Don

And who says it's a new owner? Probably another member of the same family. Better know who you are dealing with?

I ordered three adapters a few months ago. I long ago wrote them off, figuring I've lost more money in vending machines over the years. IF they happen to show up, one of these days, great. If not, I'm not out of anything worth getting my panties in a wad over.

I don't understand, how can you take over a business like Tyler, and fill thousands of back orders that I presume the check cashers kept the cash, pay for shipping, and make a profit? I was born at night, but not last night. I'll wait and read comments from other members before I order. Maybe the one I ordered in Feb. will be arriving this week.

That's what I was thinking...I'm all set but if I ever need one, I'll get one from BK.

Maybe the so called "new owner" bought the business for next to nothing which is about what the family made it worth ? He has the name, the reputation (if he can reassure new buyers that what has happened in recent months was due to the old owners) and the tooling and machinery. He ships 1000 of them at a loss but figures it's worth it since he bought the business cheap, builds goodwill, and takes it from there. It can be done.
But you can still color me skeptical.
