Tyler T grips - Here we go again!

I am glad to see this company under new ownership. I will say that those that paid the high prices for these grips in the past few months might have some regrets. If it looks like the new owner is on the up and up I will be ordering some more Tyler grips. Don

And who says it's a new owner? Probably another member of the same family. Better know who you are dealing with?

I ordered three adapters a few months ago. I long ago wrote them off, figuring I've lost more money in vending machines over the years. IF they happen to show up, one of these days, great. If not, I'm not out of anything worth getting my panties in a wad over.

Maybe the so called "new owner" bought the business for next to nothing which is about what the family made it worth ? He has the name, the reputation (if he can reassure new buyers that what has happened in recent months was due to the old owners) and the tooling and machinery. He ships 1000 of them at a loss but figures it's worth it since he bought the business cheap, builds goodwill, and takes it from there. It can be done.
But you can still color me skeptical.

I find it interesting that S&W owners buy so many. When I was doing gun shows I had about 150 total and sold 5 or 6 Smiths for every Colt adapter. Maybe I'll set up and sell them, sell on line bulk. I've got 40-60, what think you?

Why would you sell in bulk when you can get $75 each on E*Bay? Check completed auctions. They are actually selling (not to me) for anywhere from $50 to $115.

So has anyone actually received their "back ordered" T-Grips from Tyler? The TGrip website first said they would be received within 7-10 days of July 25. Now it says they will be received 7-10 days after Aug 10.

The story on the TGrip website sounds similar to the one we heard on this forum by some joker a couple of months ago about how he talked to Tyler about how the grips were going out, but only to those who don't rag on about the delay.

Thankfully, we now have BK as an alternative.

I guess only "dizzy buzzard" or "Hartford horsey logo" owners are getting them...because I haven't heard a word of anyone on here, or on the ones (two bronze) I ordered last year.

Either that, or that 1000 was to a feller that ordered 1000 of them.

I will put money that an enterprising individual or several of them decided to take all the production for a bit...
If that is the case, they need to redefine their sales channels and cut out the individual orders (if that is the case) because all it is doing is making people ill at them and their reputation is continuing to fall by the day.

I do hope they come back...only time will tell.

I did get Tyler t-grip not from Tyler from a member on our s&w wanted that responded to me he was really quick at sending them and I also got black bk adapter that one of members decided to start making which is really cool and I support and he got to me really quick too! thanks to both members ! now I can't decide which I like better.. but ima guna keep em both and get another s&w k frame! I didn't like the grips that were on the gun so I got a set of real stag on eBay for about $250 but hey they look and feel alot better then the fakes and with the adapters fill my hands real nice .. so I decided to share my pics with you guys . I'll still let you know if and when I hear anything fro
Tyler I ordered a week ago so dunno but the good is when I get I won't need so I'll sell to first person that wants\needs if they come .. but I recommend puting an add in the wanted if your set on getting Tyler t-grip or get from bk they fit great and came quick !!

I think they are saying that product is being shipped. If Bryan Jr. is still playing catch-up then he's not exactly functioning normally. Then again, it used to be that they didn't stock anything and produced only what had been ordered. So, Bryan says he's going to stock high demand items (as I read it) and he should but I think it will be a while before he's at the point that there will be no wait for the buyer.

Anyone notice that those that have been hoarding them waiting for higher prices are suddenly starting to dump them on the market?

I didn't realize how popular these things were until I Googled them up a few minutes ago. I found this web site and joined, and that alone was worth the effort. Anyway, have been using these adaptors for years and thought I was one of the few who liked them. They are not really that good for shooting in that they move around and scar your grips. On my shooters I put a layer of Scotch #33 around to hold them in place. Anyway, trying to get a set of no. 1s for a recently purchased mod. 40 Centenial.
