Don't know if this had been posted yet, so forgive me if it has. I was getting ready to order another set of Tyler T's today and saw this news posted on their website. It looks like they were hit by the recent tornadoes in the Midwest.

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS:
Due to the recent tornados that ravaged our State we lost our home and sustained severe damage to our shop. We are still working on the clean up process but have completed moving and setting up equipment at a new location and have started producing again. Thank you all for your words of encouragement in the letters and emails. We appreciate and thank you for bearing with us on getting these orders out. We are working on t-shoes and t-grips in all sizes and finishes. We have already completed a small number of orders and began shipping some of these out. Weekly updates will be posted here to inform our customers of our progress and as another source of information besides our phone and email.

I haven't seen this from Tyler T-grip but can only imagine the devastation over at Moore, OKC, and west of OKC, Shawnee, and lots of the other towns. Lots of loss of life and homes. Prayers go to those people.

Google BKgrips, he's a member here.

You'll have your Grip Adapter in several days. (a good product).

Tyler-T grips have been struck by many misfortunes.

I believe the originator died or retired and relatives have tried to

resurrect the business.

Many folks had delay after delay with their orders, MONTHS.

A tornado has now struck them, look to BKgrips if you need the adapter now.

Prayers to Tyler-T with their Tornado woes.

I had read this as I was looking to get a couple for two Red Hawks I have. How about a link to BK so I can see what they are about??? PLEASE. :)

BK only makes them for Smith & Wesson revolvers. You'll have to find a set of Tyler's as they're the only one's right now that have grip adapters for Ruger and Colt. It's the same problem I face, as I was looking to order a new set for a Ruger Security/Service Six. (I did try a Tyler K frame but it left a gap.)

My concern is that now that they have had this disaster, will that mean we'll now have to wait twice as long for an order? I had waited 3 months last year, 6 is a pretty long time ... and the one's I have seen on the auction sites go for twice as much. No telling how backed up they are as they have always been somewhat secretive on production time. It's like fate keeps bringing this company down and doesn't want them to succeed for some reason...

Here's another plug for BK grips.
They shipped them to me in just a couple of days and I was happy w/the quality and fit. Wish they would expand their product application!

How about a little love for Tyler?

They said they are back in production AFTER LOSING THEIR HOME AND SHOP! And some of us are complaining about waiting a short time for a $25 non-essential part? Come on, guys. I would think a long list of backorders will help support their recovery. I'm gonna order one for a gun I am just thinking of buying.

They've shafted many a customer the last few years. I guess I sound cruel, but what is it they say about karma?

I feel sorry for them and everyone devastated by the tornado...but I wouldn't order one now. You have a better chance of getting one if you fly there and look around on the ground then if you place an order.

I think everyone who has been a member of this board at least 6 months is well aware of the doings of the Tyler Company. This thread goes through cycles. The posts include the usual sympathies, the "just another excuse"(of which I belong), to the "we need an option"(I'm a secondary member). But Tyler threads are always entertaining and so I want to thank the OP. Things were beginning to get a little dull around here. Keep the posts coming!

(And for anyone who feels I need a sermon please know I am praying daily for those hit by this tragedy. Including the families of a few co-workers)

PS: I have experienced an awakening. Since grip adaptors are really just practical necessities I know now I don't need Tyler's. I think BK Grips are going to work just fine! Even if they are plastic.

Looks like God weighed in on the Tyler question. Good enough for me.

Here's praying that the folks who've been failing to uphold Melvin Tyler's legacy find great success and happiness in something more commensurate with their skills and abilities.
