+uestion for LEO and FBI folks.

One day dove hunting in Maricopa County I stumbled across 5 separate monthly garbage piles, indicated by 5 consecutive TV Guide magazines. I was able to flag down a passing Sherriff Deputy. She was and I hope still is a beauty to rival Angi Dickinson, Police Woman, and Susanne Summers, She's the Sheriff. I was impressed enough to apply for training my self and at 40 yo I passed the phys test and basic reasoning, but failed hearing. Oh well, I question how I might hold up under the stress.

I worked with a female ATF agent whose previous job was as a Vegas showgirl. We tried using her on a UC buy from a suspect who had a weakness in that area. He made her as "too good to be true". I remember this after 40 years because she was the exception. Not all trolls by any means, but few who spent the time on their appearance necessary to get the TV/movie look. The recently retired Chief in Aurora, IL got close.

This'n weren't too shabby. We been married for 52 years.

Made for tv.

Okay, guys. Let's not be misogynistic here. There are a few male cops out there, too, who wouldn't pass for models on the cover of GQ magazine.:D

I knew a cop built like this. Unbelievable, but through some miracle of biology the guy could actually run like a gazelle.

I don't care what a female cop looks like. Can she shoot good, fight hard, and drag my large butt out of a wrecked car? TV is entertainment.

The toughest cop I ever worked with was a female. Bonus was she was a looker. We dated a bit, and I was totally smitten, but it seemed it was a one-way feeling, and she ended up moving away to finish college. Years later she tells me she tells me that back in the day she thought we would get married. What the heck?!?!

I knew a female cop who gave off an "everybody's favorite Aunt" vibe. She was the queen of de-escalation. Five minutes of her sweet, soothing, empathetic words, and she'd turn the most amped-up, agitated brute into a blubbering crybaby who just wanted a hug from his mommy.

We had a few Pacific Islander's on active duty in the Marine Corp.
Had a heck of a time fitting into the "picture perfect image" of a Marine Corp Poster, but if/when you needed it they were handy to have on your side; on punch could stop a truck was not far from wrong.
Looks are often deceiving.
