We've been under a severe heat advisory for several days. I just finished mowing the lawn and had to take a shower... and that's with a ZT riding mower! It's currently 91° outside and muggy as a sauna. According to my weather app, it feels like 101°. Even the dog doesn't want to go out!

They're saying it's going to be just as bad tomorrow with a chance of storms. Thank goodness for AC!

We are actually not as bad down here in SE Texas. Yes, humidity is usually bad but we are only in the mid 90s by afternoon for the next 10 days or so. Could be worse for us. Saw y'all and the NE are getting hammered with heat.

Yep, thank goodness for air conditioning and showers!

When I was 18 I had a job unloading trucks in Tidewater Virginia in the summer before college. It was super hot and muggy, and we'd all sweated through our T-shirts and even Levis.

I commented to the crew that it was beach weather.

The driver, who was looking on, said, "No son. This is barroom weather."

It's like that every day down here!

When I was a lad, and likely the same for most others here, no one had air conditioning. We did have a few fans - and basements. I remember Mom and Dad moving operations down to the basement when it got really hot, and my brother and I would abandon our upstairs bedroom and “camp out” on the floor of the coolest room in the house. We’ve all become a big bunch of sissies, and I’m right there with everyone. If my AC went down I’d consider it a minor emergency. I feel sorry for those not as fortunate when it gets really hot or really cold.

Nice here the past few days. Low to mid 90s and windy v. our usual 100 plus this time of year. This June has been much cooler so far than last year for us. What that means for July remains to be seen. The wind is a constant irritant here, but when it's warm it does make you feel a bit cooler.Screenshot_23-6-2025_13201_www.msn.com.jpeg

What a bunch of wimps! As a Texas native I remember two heat waves where we had 60 consecutive days or more of 100 degrees plus.
The summer of 1980 had to be one of them. I remember well: 113 in June, usually too early for that kind of heat. Our AC went out in August.

If it got down to 91 here, I would turn off the AC and put on a sweater. It has been hot in the deep woods of N. Fl. This time of year, here, it is either smoking hot or raining, or both.

Yep, had my power go out on a day that hit 116. Went to dinner and wound up in a restaurant that had no AC. Miserable. Some days it was still 100 degrees or more at midnight.

Currently 15 Celsius with 86% humidity here in Kamloops
At least the rain has stopped for the time being
Sure could use some of that global warming I hear people talk about
