Well, Decided to get a mouse gun .. sadly not a smith - but unavoidable. Ruger LCP, .380, 6+1, weighs 9 oz and fits in the palm of your hand. Great little pocket gun.

my brother has one...i shot it a number of times and feel like it has the worse trigger pull of anything i have fired...seems you squeeze forever...i wish you luck

:) Same thing with my Keltec Kenny. You just pull and pull. Sure would like to have a Kahr 380. Just to many $$$$. Don

Most double action .380's that I have seen have a long stiff trigger pull. I have a Colt Pony Pocket-lite and as great as it is, it suffers with the same problem. I really don't think that there is a sure cure for any of them.

I've got one and really like the thing. The trigger is definitely a long pull, but it's not very heavy, and has a fairly clean break (much better than some of the KelTecs that I've tried...).

This being said, I went and got the .380 Kahr a few months ago, because I've had a PM9 for a while and really like that gun. The Kahr has definitely replaced the Ruger, as the trigger is very nice, and the sights are much better. The Kahr is actually the same size as the LCP, maybe even a little smaller; but, it's also more $$$...

IMO, I think the Ruger is the best value for a mouse gun, and I think the Kahr is the best mouse gun out there right now.

Yep, including the Kahr, though it is marginally better than the LCP. If one wants a better trigger pull the Sig 1911 style .380 is a possibility.

I like the LCP much better than I anticipated, in fact I'm a bit addicted to it and am considering an additional pocket .380. This makes no practical sense as I have target guns that are ergonomic masterpieces, extremely accurate, and use readily available inexpensive ammo. Yet the LCP gets shot during every range trip.

Still trying to figure out this front pocket thing. None of my jeans work so I purchased some carhart double fronts, duluth work pants, and my first pair of 'tactical' pants on close out at LAPG. The tactical pants are strange, but I found that the LCP will ride in the carhart front pocket without shifting during the day. It will also ride in the duluth pants but it rotates out of position almost immediately.

I think you'll be happy with your choice!

Mine has seen more carry time lately than my 642! It's smaller, thinner, lighter and carries two more rounds. Since I bought it in February, I've put 400 rounds (200 FMJs and 200 JHPs) through without a single failure. The only thing that took me some time to get used to was letting the slide snap forward to chamber the first round.

The trigger is long, but not heavy. After firing it a few times you can easily tell where the breaking point is.

Yeah the sights aren't great, but for it's intended use it's very accurate. At 7 yards you'll easily get 7 out of 7 rounds in a 5 inch circle. It's not a target gun.. it's a self defense gun.

It will be seeing a lot of use this summer. I made a holster for it that rides out of the waistband but underneath my belt. It's nice and thin so it doesn't print or get in the way, plus its more comfortable than IWB. Once it gets hot I know I'll be carrying it that way until cooler weather.

I carry my LCP daily now. Bought a cheap Uncle Mike's pocket holster and it stays put in all my front pockets...Wranglers, Carhartts and khakis.

I have no problems with mine. Trigger is no longer than a double action smith, and it breaks cleanly. With minimal practice I can keep all shots in a 3" group at 10 yards. That's what it is intended for. With Hornady Critical Defense ammo it is no slouch.

Did it come with the pre-printed Factory Recall Tag and Shipping Lable?

I here that these are now a Standard Feature included with all new Rugers shipped these days....

I gave my LCP a name...

I call it my "American Express Card"

I DON'T leave home without it.

It is comfortable, small, and potent. I carry it more than any of my others.

I have one of the LCP's.Mine is very reliable. It is not a target pistol, but it disappears in your front pants pocket.

Nice little guns. I almost bought one but went with the Kel-Tec P3AT when these got recalled. The LCP seem a bit more comfortable to shoot. Checking the Kel-Tec is a bit much. Going to take a hard look at the S&W 380 Bodyguard when the come out this summer.
