I use one with a FS 9mm M&P for IDPA. I think it's great! I use the paddle attachment, locks the holster on tight, but if you don't like paddles, it also comes with the belt loop attachment too. The 'reflex' retention works well, and is easy to manipulate.

Is this holster a passive retention type where you just have to draw it without doing anything else? Or do you have to push something with your finger while drawing? It almost looks like you have to push the area around the trigger guard - like a Serpa.

It looks very much like a Fobus holster which I've seen but never handled.

Apparently there's a twisting motion involved in the draw, so it isn't strictly passive retention.... I've got one on the way, so I'll let you know how well it actually secures the pistol. It's not an expensive holster & I'm hoping this isn't a case of you get what you pay for!

I used one for a while, it was a pretty nice holster.

Twist inwards (meaning twist slide away from body) to draw.

I went back to pocket holstering the Shield (Desantis Nemesis holster). If I'm going to hip wear, I might as well put on a bigger gun (currently my HK45CT)

If you are going to wear a holster, get an IWB and get a full size duty pistol. The Shield is at home in the pocket of any type of trousers, whether they are dress slacks, Dockers or 5.11s.
