Like many things today, your perception is your reality. So I guess everyone is correct.
It never ceases to amaze me that so many people seem to think that we have designer reality. What ever they "choose to believe" is how it is

my disabled 2 year old quadriplegic son was asleep in his room one night. my wife and I both asleep. I felt a person take my t shirt and pull me to my feet and drag me down the hall to my sons room. I opened the door and cut on the light, to see my son was lying between 2 pillows face up covered in vomit. I quickly cleared the vomit away and got him breathing again. My wife walked in and said " what is going on"? I replied you pulled me in here , what do yo think?" and I was mad!!
She stated" I followed you in here after all the noise'. I looked at her and said" you didnt pull me in here by my t-shirt. Look the elastic on my t-shirt is ruined". I looked at her and looked at me and the boy and I felt a sense of calm after wards. IF you dont believe in angels from heaven that is your prerogative, me Ive been witness to many things I couldnt explain. This was one.

Remember, penicillen came from moldy oranges.
I've used folk medicine myself when needed. One year I was up in remote Quebec when I cut myself rather badly. The nearest medical facilities were 45 minutes away. Luckily my uncle had brought along a bottle of medicinal turpentine and we used that to sterilize the cut. But we still had to stabllize the situation. I remembered reading in National Geographic how Indians in South America used cayenne pepper as an astringent to close up cuts. I happened to have a can of cayenne pepper along for making chili. I poured the pepper on the cut, everything crusted over and I bandaged it. The bleeding stopped so quickly that we didn't have to take me to town to find medical care. My doctor later said, "You guys did pretty good with your backwoods medicine."
