**UPDATE IN POST #1** A dog showed up today...

You are obligated to providing her a good home or else.

Don't upset the Dog Owner Gang here at the forum.

I know you are going to keep her, God selected and is testing you at this moment.;)

A bowl of water, a little food, where can you get a great friend for so little.

I was talking about my wife. :D

congratulations.
As I am typing this my best bud just wandered over and leaned and slobbered on my arm he arrived in a similar way. With some help from our local Sheriff and Deputies. In bound pm.

Hillbilly77, thank you for taking care of that poor dog. Like JimmyJ, I also believe there will be a special reward in Heaven for those who show compassion on animals the way you did.

God bless everyone one of you guys and ladies that take in and provide shelter and food for mistreated and abandoned animals.

I am honored to be associated with everyone of you fine people.

Your reward will last forever.

C.S. 63, he is beautiful.

Our first dog wandered into our garage one morning, she stayed with us for 16 years until I had to put her down. The last thing she did before she went across the bridge was look me straight in the eye and lick my hand.
I always called her the Volunteer dog cause she volunteered to stay with us. She was the best dog we ever had.
Hillbilly I'd keep her in a heartbeat !

I'll add my hard earned $0.02. You and your wife are good folks. I think this is a blessing that will last a while.

Good job.

I take in all free dogs and abandon kittens that i find ion the woods. Some kittens are so young they fit in the plam of my hand. I find the dogs are so happy to have a home they can call there own. We moved to farther out in the country were i have enough room for them to roam.
I try to keep it down to 2 dogs and 7 cats when i can. My new place is rodent, squirrel, crow and snake free do to the 3 feral kittens i took in. It took me a longtime to get then calm in the house but when there outside nothing is safe. One tried to kill a turkey the other day.

BTW; The three feral little kittens were all brothers and all black when no one wanted them and they fit in the palm of my hand and almost dead. They would go limp in my hand with there head hanging down ready to call it quits. My wife opened up a can of tuna fish in water and i hand fed them. They came to life when they smelled the tuna and now there very healthy full grown cats. I learned from the net how to talk with them and they accepted me into there family all three responded. I can whistle or call them at anytime heck they listen better than my lab does. But he is a hyper pup.

I find that no one wants black cats. It doesn't bother me.

When you adopt a kitten get two or three that are related. There happier and fun to watch. When one black cat climbs a tree in my yard his brother will go up right behind him trying to knock him out. There about 8' up in the thinner branches. There fun to watch.
