UPDATE!-Need prayers for my wife, please

UPDATE

The doctor said she did fine. Not long after I got to her room, PT came by and they had her up and standing.

She gets to come home tomorrow and then outpatient therapy starts. :)

Thanks to all for their prayers.

Glad all has gone well and praying that her healthy progress continues. God Bless.

Prayers and well wishes for your wife. My wife had a knee replacement done a few years ago.

These days, knee replacements have become so common place, that they've really refined and improved the technique from past years. For instance, a standard post-op practice was to put the leg in a device that worked the knee back and forth.

That's been discontinued because studies showed that it really wasn't that effective, and the new standard is to get people up on their feet and moving asap.

In a few weeks time, you're going to have a hard time keeping up with her :D

Prayers for your wife!

Tomorrow morning, my wife will be getting her right knee replaced.

Prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I missed this one Muley. My wife went to the ER Friday at midnight and brought her home today. Dodged the bullet on abdominal surgery!!!

Muley Gil,

Prayers up for you wife's knee replacement. My wife had hers done 11 1/2 years ago and it changed her life (our lives). It has been great seeing her increased mobility and lack of pain since the surgery. My prayers that your wife experiences the same recovery and outlook.

I was an orthopedic nurse for about 14 years before I retired The best thing is not let her sit Keep her moving as much as possible. Do the exercises that the PT show her to do. No fetching stuff for her. She walks with you to wherever it is that she wants and you carry it back for her.

Great news on the update!

Thoughts and prayers for both of you. Consider getting someone to cook for your wife, I am not sure what kind of a kitchen guru you might be and good grub will help her heal faster!
