I just attended one of New York's "sessions" to explain it's new gun laws.It was standing room only, so crowded they had to put speakers outside so everyone could hear. Many of the questions asked received the same answer "We are still working on that" There were several LGS owners asking why is the state trying to put them out of business? No answer for that one! What I did learn is that my Remington 1100 is now an assault weapon because it has a thumbhole stock. Any semi auto pistol that weighs more than 50 ounces it now an assault weapon! I'll have to put my Desert Eagle on a diet of broccoli! I saved the best for last if we don't register our ARs or AKs we could receive more jail time that someone who robs a liquor store with a gun! Please pinch me I must be dreaming!!

Every time I read a post like this I feel angry and sorrow at the same time. It's so unfair what your officials are doing to you!!! This is not the brave USA I came to live many years ago running from the communist country I was born, on the contrary it's starting to look like the place I left.

I think you insulted communist, actually in communist country, the punishment for gun-toting robbers are far harsher (death penalty) than someone who just collected guns (5y in jail). In some states in the USA, they punish law abiding citizens far harsher than gun-toting criminals, because democrats in Detroit, Newark NJ, Philadelphia, Chicago don't want to punish real criminals because if all criminals are locked up for good, democrats would lose so many votes, they would rather punish good people. As far as I know, if you are robbed at gun point in NYC, you are not supposed to fight back. The robber may get 5y in jail, but if you shoot him, not only you may get sued by his famility, but the gun-hating DA might put you in prison for 30 years!!!

Make no mistake, I strongly dislike communist, but often liberal democrats are far worse, their feel-good policy could have very long-term adverse consequences.

my EDC 1911, loaded, falls just 5 oz shy of definition ... good thing I wasn't feeling nostalgic for the long slide trend in the early 80's ...
well I'll just watch the news and see what gets done about it

And do they mean loaded or empty? Etc...
This WHOLE thing in NY screams (to my ears at least) for revolution. 200 years ago, the person introducing such legislation would have been openly beaten on the floor of the senate. (Once it was with a cane)

Never give up push on we will win. We must write and protest every legal way that we can and remember all of these gun grabbers when you vote . Never give an inch.
