**UPDATE** Vortex Optics Customer Service A++++!

I bought a new Vortex Micro 3X Magnifier yesterday. After attaching it on my DDM4 carbine and looking through it, I noticed an obstruction that I originally thought was a dog hair (I have 2 German Shepherds and hair gets everywhere).

I attempted to clean the lens with compressed air and a lens brush with no success. Upon further inspection, it appeared to be a scratch in the objective lens.

I immediately sent an e-mail to Vortex customer service explaining the situation. Late this morning I received a phone call from Vortex CS representative, Tim Austin. He proceeded to tell me that a brand-new Micro 3X it on its way to me along with a return shipping label to send the defective one back to them.

I checked my e-mail when I got home today and all information regarding the return was in my in-box. Along with the new Micro 3X, they are also sending me a decal, hat, and a Vortex sign of some kind.

Now that is some awesome customer service!

Vortex CS is top notch. They're often good optics of course, but their CS is why I lean towards them when I need magnified optics.
 
I bought some 10X42 Vortex Razor binos a few years back and contacted customer service about the cost to get some extra lens covers (I use my binos a lot and the lens covers are sometimes casualties). The customer service person said "no problem" and sent me an extra set of covers free of charge.

The new Micro 3X arrived this morning along with the swag. That's a total of 4 days since I sent the e-mail to Vortex Optics and got the new optic. It don't get much better than that! :D

I’ve several Friends that have had to use the
Vortex Warranty. Vortex went way over board
in order to honor their Warranty. Which was
outstanding.

Those experiences proved Vortex is a Stand
Up Company.

But I still only buy Leupold. They went way
over board to help with replacing their
“made somewhere else” Binoculars once
for me.

All my scoped long guns have either Leupold, or Nikon scopes and I have never needed to refer to either of their warranty departments (and Nikon is now ka-put). But after this experience with Vortex, I will be giving their products serious consideration if/when I'm in the market for new optics.
