UPDATED - Moved to Copenhagen, Denmark...

Gunar,

The holster I made will be sent Monday, and I hope it fits your revolver perfectly. I took a few pics today, but want you to be the first to see it. So keep me posted.

Thank you,

Henry

I called the U.S. State Dept today to check on my export paperwork for the guns I am wanting to take to Denmark... I was informed by the Response Team that my application for permission to export 5 of my most cherished S&W revolvers was approved on 17 Aug and I should get it in the mail any day now... :)

Congratulation on your new adventure! I have not been to Denmark yet! My family came from Copenhagen early 1900s. my Grandfathers brother was a Professor at Denmark University ,, One day I want to back track my family roots. From pictures I have seen it is beautiful over there :)

Gunar---l wish you well o your move to Denmark.. Having spent 25 years with Uncle Sam's Army l have been fortunate to see a bit of this world..My European time was spent I Germany and UK...All beautiful country and l just loved being near the native people. Asia was great for its people and food.. Sad part about Asia is eating real Asian food and then coming back to the USA... Having spent a good bit of time in Atlanta l cant think of a better place l would rather be ''from''.. As far away from there as possible

Adventure

I lived in Europe for 5 years back in the mid-80s, loved it, traveled every weekend, lots of history to see and learn. However, now my escape from CONUS would be to Alaska where you are truly free! Few people and vast land mass. Enjoy your new life, it gets cold at that latitude, stay warm and enjoy life.

Gunar,
Man your revolver look's good that way. You have one of one with that design. I redid the sealer on the sides--is it staying shiny now? I have used that before, and will continue doing the same with future holsters.
I read your message, so I don't have to express my opinion as to what we know is BS-lol.
If ok with you, I will post on other gun boards and my web site.
Going back to the drawing board now, as I have other designs in mind.

Thank you for posting the picture.

Henry

It is staying nice and shiny. You can post pictures of my N frame model 27-8 and the holster you made me anywhere you like. The best part about it is that all my K-N frames with 4-6 inch barrels fit in it really good even though it was made for my 5 inch N frame. Thanks again, very nice work!!!

My dog and my guns made it to Denmark, safe and sound without any problems. I have already got a Danish social security number, and will be looking into Danish language classes tomorrow.

Are you in Denmark now? Congrats on the move, hope it all works out. Languages were always very difficult for me. I took French in high school, but was never even close to being able to carry on a conversation. It would be much more interesting to be fluent in another language.

The move

Gunar,

Happy to hear all things you cherish is safe and sound under the same roof. Look forward hearing about your first time at the gun range. I have been busy over here, and worked up a lot of new gun holsters. I will send some pics in the next few days as they get finished.

Your friend,

Henry
