I can upgrade my old bare bones cell phone and have heard good reports on the Droid series. They make a number of different models and am wondering which is the best and why. Should I wait for an I Phone that will be available on my plan in a couple of months or will one of the Droids do everything I phone does?

I like the OS on iPhone leaps and bounds over the MS platforms ... The Droid is a good phone, but imho the iPhone is and always will be the best smart phone.

I haven't owned an I phone but am amazed still after 2 months with the Motorola Droid X. It does more than any phone I have ever owned. from weather broadcast up to date, to using it as my internet connection for my Laptop (right now). The speaker phone is the best I have ever used and I don't need a headset when driving. I have used it as a flashlight, the browser is functional for web surfing and all my email accounts operate fine. there are a few Apps that I have had to purchase but most are free. The size can be a little bulky but it makes the LCD usable even for a going blind old fart like me.

I replaced my Motorola Razor with a Droid X. The phone is amazing. It is my GPS, Ameritrade stock system, camera, video, radio, and many more items.

I did a little research before I got it and it was neck and neck with the Iphone except it has a better screen and camera.

I am leaning toward the iPhone4, but I heard the iPhone5 is coming out this Spring/Summer, I think I'll wait, maybe the problem with reception holding it near the bottom will be solved with the model 5.

I have the iphone 4 with Verizon....a friend of mine has the droid...he told me if you are not a super techie, get the iphone...so i did..I'm super happy with it but I also have an Imac and Ipad so it was an easy decision.

I must say, skyping with video for free to New Zealand while outside is a blast...the kids grandparents can watch them play in the park...how cool is that!
