My laptop is so old I have no idea what version of windows I have. As a matter of fact, it's so old, at times it forgets what it's doing. I tend to do things on the computer to specifically confound anyone who may be lurking in the background. Let them look, I don't really care.

I can relate to that. When I had mine, I came to in recovery, but that is not saying I was completely conscious. My friend who drove me there and I went to Chili's for lunch when I got released. I thought while we were waiting for our order, and said, "I never got to talk to the doctor." My friend reassured me that I had indeed talked to the doctor and he said I had no issues at all. I still have no recollection of that.
Every thread in The Lounge should have the subject "Annoyed with Thread Drift", followed by a non sequential number.

You sound like one of the youngsters that never learned to read. This is the lounge, not the gun section. My guess is you signed up to be a pain in the butt and a whiner. This is the fun section, not the gun section.

Yeah, the Lounge is meant to be the place for these kinds of threads - specifically to keep them out of the other forum sections.
If the threads in here irritate you, don't open them. Even if you click New Posts or Today's Posts, on the right side of the page it shows what forum each thread is located in. So if this kind of thread bugs you, just don't open the ones that are listed as being in the Lounge section. Different strokes for different folks and all that.
Simple.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Goobermint more or less try to put the Windows folks out of business just a few years ago?
Seems like I remember a big trial where they brought anti-trust, unfair business practices, ant-competition, illegal monopoly, and every other kind of charge they could think of against those folks from Redmond.
Made them change their whole business model and how they packaged, marketed, and sold their products as I recall. Cost Mr. Gates billions (that's billions with a "B").
But now all is forgiven and forgotten just a few short years later, and he's in bed with them to give them backdoor access into your computer so they can snoop on you.

Yep, I can believe it. When I came to after my colonoscopy I was in IHOP.
I had my colonoscopy at the IHOP. Wait. Maybe that man was not a real doctor...ponders.
