Sent a USPS money order to St. Louis on Jan 6 and arrived in St. Louis on the 8th. Said weather exception, finally got to the seller on January 22. That was in a Priority envelope also. Amazing!! St. Louis had 3.5” of snow/ice that delayed delivery. The gun is due Monday, a month to get a rifle that I should have had 10 days ago easily. Larry

I sent my Carry Comp back to S&W via FedEx on 1/16. Address was Springfield, MA…

Was in Nashville, TN on 1/18. Figured they forwarded it to the TN plant.

Delivered to Springfield, MA on 1/20.

Country is circling the toilet.

Had a letter delivered to me this week in Southern Indiana that was addressed to someone in a town in Kentucky over sixty miles away. The only similarity in the addresses were that both zip codes began with 4. I don’t know anymore.

I have had stuff lost in the mail, delayed in the mail and who knows what else.

TO the OP I hope the medicine arrives soon and your wife has no negative effects because of this.

The USPS isn't perfect but I feel certain all of us have never had things go wrong in our workplace. Perfect product, delivery and outcome for everything we have ever done. Especially at the volume passing through the mail system.

Pawngal, You are correct, I have sent many flat rate boxes via Priority and never really had a problem.

326MOD10, Thanks for your concern, they should arrive as she runs out, not life threatening. I never had anything go wrong when I was working.....NOT!......LOL

This is the actual tacking history of a package which was initially sent to a Denver, CO address. When I finally got the package back, it was marked “undeliverable address”. The address WAS correct. I took the package with its tracking history to the PO and they reshipped it at no cost to me. Address remained the same and this time it arrived in 5 days.

Bad experience: Ordered a surplus Mauser bolt from an outfit in Florida (I live in Pennsylvania). Took over two weeks to arrive. Checked the tracking several times. The package had crossed the Pennsylvania/Maryland border seven times!

Good experience: Ordered a surplus '03A3 barrel on eBay. The next week I got an empty box with a jagged hole in one end. Called the local P. O., explained the problem, and gave the Postmaster the tracking number and a detailed description of the item to include the barrel markings. He made a few phone calls up the tracking trail. Harrisburg P. O. found it leaning in a corner of their sorting room. I had it in my mail two days later at no charge.

I just got a package that USPS took 5 days to move 190 miles across Arizona. Wells Fargo could have done better in 1880...

We also recently got two returned Christmas cards marked "address doesn't exist"... both were correct, and the same address they've been going to for over a decade.

I know the junk mail pays the bills, but it seems that's the only thing USPS can reliably deliver these days.

They've always had those roundabouts. We were not able to track them until recently.

John

Yes ... the scenic routes have always been.
However, our ability to see them now does not alter the core observation.
What took 2 or 3 days on a regular basis is now taking weeks, and folks are naturally wondering why.

My clinic quit using usps for this very reason after my heart meds kept bouncing around Minnesota. Now they use jiffy something, and they get here right quick. And while it wasn't easy to get anyone on the phone, you betcha i had something to say to them directly (repeatedly)

I keep getting anybody's mail with my street number--different names, different street names. I have no idea who's getting my mail.
