Some years ago, I tested a two-part industrial adhesive for gunsmithing applications. It was fairly expensive, but you could glue two 1/8"x1" wide aluminum strips together (overlapping), and it was impossible to separate them by bending or twisting. But it wasn't UV-activated, it had to cure for several hours. We used it instead of rivets for some special alterations to M16 magazines.
