Did you ever launch a tiny spring, screw, pin or any small part into your carpet? Ask me about these things and how I know. Here is my tool to help. This beats empyting the vacumn cleaner bag. I have used it several times dragging it over every square inch of the carpet. High strength magnet. I also use it to explore around fishing areas. You would be suprised what you find.

Yes, very handy and a time saver.

Hi:
I have a simular magnet. However when I lose a part or spring it usually goes back of a huge heavy object.
I have often wondered if a glassed in walk in box would be the ideal place to disassembly or reassemly weapons.

Some members use a large clear plastic bag. The do the disassembly in the bag.

Great piece of machinery. I purchased a heavy duty magnet from Edmonds Scientific in the late 60s. It was supposed to pick up 200lbs. I attached it to a rope and dropped it from bridges. I found some interesting stuff, mostly junk, but I did haul up an old rusted revolver. It was a total lump of junk and could not be identified.

Anyway, it layed around the garage and always came with me during many moves. Finally a friend of mine's 8 year old stuck it to the side of my new freezer, which was empty. He could not get it off so he asked some teenage friends to help. They pulled and pulled and ended up pulling my new freezer over and into my steel work bench. The door was bent and never sealed right again.

And the magnet was still attached........and still is.
