Hey Guys. Local pawn shop has a 27-2. Factory nickel. Triple T's, Partridge front sight. has wear as would be expected on a shooter, but not horrible, grips are in pretty good shape with no gouges or huge scratches (Football cutout). However doesn't look like it's been cleaned often. No box, no paperwork. Don't remember the entire serial number but it started with an N. looked to be a 5 or 6" barrel. trigger felt good and lock up was tighter than any revolver I think I've ever had.

SO....he's got $700 on it, but before I could even make an offer he said he'd take $500. What should I do?

If it has a Partridge sight... er, I mean Patridge sight named for the man who designed it, it's probably a 6" model as most 5" 27s have the ramp sight. If in good shape I think most would agree that $500 is a good price.

Offer $450. Don't cost nothin'.

My bad on the spelling, I was typing in a hurry

If you pass on it, I will take it. I have another thread on this topic. A fellow is asking $895 for his 6" nickel Model 27.
Hell, I would give him $500 and be happy.

I'd give him $500 in a heartbeat, here's why.

I was in a store a few years ago and a guy next to me asked the "best price" for a gun. The dealer took quite a bunch of money off the price which was VERY fair price to start and the lowered price should have been for friends and family :-) Well the dork offered less than the "lowest" price and the dealer told him he would not sell the gun to the guy at all.

He left, and I bought the ANIB 610 for $325. Thank goodness for people who insult dealers! So I NEVER look a gift horse in the mouth.

Stop! Play sick or something from work Monday and go and get this gun! It is a gift at $500 and I think most of us would have snagged it in a heart beat. Yep, late for work once is not so bad. Kyle
