I picked up a Smith & Wesson poster today at a yard sale. It is the one of the cowboy on his horse shooting in back of him. Titled: Smith & Wesson on top and on the bottom: Revolvers.
I have seen some for sale online. The owner said he did not know if it was original from the 1930s or a reproduction. He said he got it from a friend who worked for S&W.
On the bottom is says in small print: Made in USA while another one online said: Made at Smith & Wesson.

How can I tell if this is original or a reproduction?

Thanks.

There should be a Smith & Wesson Logo on the bottom left hand corner.
What does it read? The originals will also read "Printed in U.S.A.", that will be all the way on the bottom, in the left hand corner.

Thanks Don it has the trademark S&W logo.
Under that it says As marcus que por mais de 70.....Revolvers.
And on the very bottom left it does say Printed in the USA.

You have a rare version of the 1935 issue of "Hostiles". It is the Portuguese issue. It is an excellent find. Congratulations. Depending on condition, in excellent condition it is worth upwards of $750.00.
